Bobbins and Threads started as a longarm business, the Celtic Quilter. A couple years ago, I recognized not only had my business outgrown my house but there was a need in my area for a full service quilt shop. We decided on “Bobbins and Threads” because in quilting you’re always winding bobbins and clipping threads but most of all “you can’t make a quilt without them!”
The store also offers more than fabric and quilt patterns. It has a big beautiful classroom and a wide variety of different classes such as painting, rope bowls, dolls and cookie decorating. My staff are all quilters and enjoy helping customers with everything from color choices to yardage calculations. We have several popular designers such as Jason Yenter, Tim Holtz, Anna Maria, Alison Glass and Tula Pink, as well as fabric lines from Moda, In the Beginning, Free Spirit and Blank. We carry a large selection of Hobbs and Air Lite batting.
Long arm machines are integrated into the shop and customers love seeing the quilting process as well as being able to take classes and rent machine time to quilt their own. And as a Nolting dealer you can try before you buy. Unique in our area is our laser cutter so we can pre-cut multiples of fabric in all shapes and sizes with amazing speed and accuracy.
