Stitching Sisters Quilt Shop – Comanche, TX

I have wanted a Quilt Shop for at least 15 years, but could never afford to open one.

My Husband and I are both retired, and now we can afford to let me live my dream!   It is even more rewarding than I thought it would be!   I have made many new friends and look forward to meeting new folks every day.

I wanted the store name to reflect the sisterhood of not only quilters, but others who love to do any kind of stitching!

I’ve only been open a little over a year, so I don’t know if I’m known for anything beyond being a very friendly and customer oriented shop!  I couldn’t do this without customers!

The best-selling and most favorite fabric in my shop is Shadow Play by Northcott.  It is very versatile as it is not complete solid, but not like Grunge either, it is somewhere in between.

My favorite patterns are by Robin Pickens.  I tend to lean in the modern direction.  I love bright colors and bold blocks!

I have two very sweet friends helping me during the week. MarAnna Horn and I have a 20-year friendship.  She is thrilled to be involved with the shop, meeting quilters and making friends.

Ruth Worthey and I met a year ago when she came into the shop.  She got goosebumps and said she could just live there!  I asked if she might like to help from time to time, and now her days are Thursday and Saturday.  She cuts all the BOM kits and any other kits we sell.  I couldn’t do without either lady!

While in Comanche, don’t forget to visit the Old Cora courthouse!  Old Cora is a log cabin structure on the square in downtown Comanche, TX that was the first courthouse.  You can find out more by clicking here!

Also, if you plan on coming back for a visit, each September there is the Comanche Pow Wow.  For more info on the Pow Wow, click here!

As I said earlier, my shop has been open a little over a year.  My hope is that it continues to grow and becomes one of the attractions in Comanche, TX.

I want crafters of all kinds to feel at home in my shop!  If you want to try a different style of crafting, be sure to check out our Slow Stitching Class and our Junk Journal Class.  We have so much fun with these!

Right now we are in Dublin, TX, but we will be moving to Comanche, TX.  We are going to be open March 1, 2024 just in time for this shop hop!
